Boat Battery and Charging Repair at Your Dock
A boat that won't start or keeps killing its batteries is one of the most common calls we get. The cause can be the battery itself, the charging system on the engine, the charger, or the wiring in between. We test the whole system so you don't replace parts you didn't need.

When You Call, the Owner Picks Up
Every call goes straight to Ethan, the owner of EG Marine Services and the mechanic who does the work. There’s no receptionist taking a message and no waiting on a callback from someone who’s never seen your boat.
Tell him what’s going on: the alarm on the display, the noise at idle, the engine that won’t turn over. Ethan knows Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury, and the rest of what runs in South Florida inside and out, so you’ll usually get a straight answer on the first call, whether that’s something you can check yourself or a visit to your dock.

Real Battery, Starter, and Charging Jobs
Stator and regulator at 4,200 hours
A Yamaha 300 with 4,200 hours had a bad stator, plus a worn belt and rusted pulleys. It was back running great after the repair.
Bad starters
Starters replaced on outboards, a Mercury 300 V8, and inboard boats. We bench test starters to confirm before we replace them.
Seized alternator
A seized alternator kept breaking belts. Replacing it stopped the problem.
Battery isolator
A Verado that wasn't charging had a bad isolator, which was also killing the battery.
Loose cable, no start
One engine wouldn't start. The fix was a loose cable, not a new part.

Boat Battery & Charging Repair FAQs
Why does my boat battery keep dying?
Common causes are a failing battery, an engine that is not charging (bad alternator, stator, or regulator), a bad battery isolator, or something drawing power while the boat sits. We test each one.
My boat just clicks and won't crank. What is it?
Usually a weak battery, corroded or loose cables, a bad starter solenoid, or a failing starter. We have also traced no-crank problems to a single loose cable.
Do you install battery chargers?
Yes. We install onboard chargers like Victron and ProMariner and wire them correctly to your battery banks.
Can you replace a starter at my dock?
In most cases, yes. We replace starters on outboards and inboards on site.
