These terms cover your use of egmarineservices.com, its tools, and the EG Marine Services customer portal and boat logbook (together, the “site”), run by EG Mobile Marine Services. By using the site or signing in to the portal, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Your portal account
- You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep your email account secure: anyone who can open that link can use your account.
- Give us accurate contact, boat, and engine details, and keep them up to date.
- Tell us right away by calling 786-351-5363 if you think someone else has used your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that is misused, and you can ask us to close yours at any time.
2. Quotes, invoices, and payment
- A quote is our estimate for the work described, based on what we know when we write it. If we find more work or parts are needed once we start, we’ll contact you before doing it.
- Accepting a quote in the portal means you’d like us to go ahead. We’ll confirm the date and any deposit with you directly.
- Prices include sales tax where the quote or invoice shows it.
- We don’t take payments on the site. You pay us directly (cash, check, Zelle, card, or similar), and we record the payment in the portal so you have a receipt.
- A deposit, if one is listed, is due before work starts. The balance is due when the work is done, unless we agree otherwise.
3. Your logbook and uploads
- Your boat information, logbook entries, and files stay yours. You let us store and display them to run the portal, and to show them to anyone you share them with.
- Only upload files you have the right to share, and nothing illegal, harmful, or unrelated to your boat.
- Entries marked as verified by EG Marine reflect work we did. Entries you add yourself are your own records, and we don’t check them.
- If you turn on a buyer share link, anyone with the link can see that boat’s history and the files you chose to show. Turn it off to stop access.
4. Tools, service reminders, and information on the site
Our guides, troubleshooter, cost estimates, maintenance plans, and “service due” reminders are general information to help you plan. They aren’t a diagnosis or a guarantee for your boat, and estimates aren’t quotes. Always follow your engine maker’s manual, and call us at 786-351-5363 for advice on your specific boat. On the water, safety comes first: if something seems wrong, stop and get help.
5. The fishing game
The game is just for fun. Leaderboard names must be appropriate. We may remove names or scores that are offensive, spammy, or the result of cheating, and we limit how often each player can play and save scores.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t try to access other people’s accounts or data, interfere with the site, overload it with automated requests, or use it for anything unlawful.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep the site and your records available and accurate, but the site is provided “as is”, and it may sometimes be unavailable or contain mistakes. Keep your own copies of important documents such as surveys and registrations.
To the extent the law allows, EG Mobile Marine Services isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site. This doesn’t limit our responsibility for the work we do on your boat, which is covered by what we agree with you for that job, or any rights you have under Florida law.
8. Changes, law, and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Florida law applies. Questions? Call 786-351-5363.
