Yamaha Outboard Repair at Your Dock
Yamaha is the most common outboard we work on, from small 9.9s to triple and quad 300s and 350s. We come to your dock, marina, or boat lift anywhere from Boca Raton to Islamorada, find the problem, and fix it where the boat sits.

When You Call, the Owner Picks Up
Every call goes straight to Ethan, the owner of EG Marine Services and the mechanic who does the work. There’s no receptionist taking a message and no waiting on a callback from someone who’s never seen your boat.
Tell him what’s going on: the alarm on the display, the noise at idle, the engine that won’t turn over. Ethan knows Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury, and the rest of what runs in South Florida inside and out, so you’ll usually get a straight answer on the first call, whether that’s something you can check yourself or a visit to your dock.
- Straight answers, not a script
- Diagnostic questions answered on the phone
- Honest advice, even when the fix is simple
- The person you talk to is the one who shows up

Call 786-351-5363Common Yamaha Outboard Problems We Fix

Bad trim solenoids, trim motors, and trim pumps, plus trim unit reseals on Yamaha 115s through 350s.
No-starts

Yamaha Outboard Repair & Service FAQs
My Yamaha outboard won’t start. Can you fix it at the dock?
Usually, yes. Most Yamaha no-starts come down to fuel, ignition, or the starting circuit. Ethan reads the fault codes with Yamaha diagnostics and fixes it at your dock.
Do you have to use a Yamaha dealer for service?
No. Routine maintenance can be done by any qualified mechanic as long as it follows Yamaha’s schedule and specs and the work is documented. We keep records of every service.
How often does a Yamaha outboard need service?
Yamaha calls for service once a year or every 100 hours, whichever comes first. We’ve pulled a burnt impeller from a 2019 Yamaha that had only 150 hours on it in six years, because the owner thought low hours meant no service.
What happens if I skip the 100 hour service on my Yamaha?
The parts that wear from time, not hours, keep wearing: the water pump impeller, the anodes, the gear lube, and the fuel filters. Skipping service is how small, cheap fixes turn into overheating, a damaged lower unit, or a no-start.
Can you read Yamaha fault codes and engine hours?
Yes. We connect Yamaha diagnostic software to read fault codes, engine hours, and live data, which also helps on a pre-purchase inspection.
How much does Yamaha outboard repair cost?
It depends on the engine and what failed. We diagnose first and give you a quote before any repair starts.
