Mobile Boat Detailing at Your Dock

Sun, salt, and humidity are hard on a boat’s finish. Without regular care, gelcoat oxidizes and fades, stainless spots, and vinyl cracks.

Our boat detailing is fully mobile. We come to your dock or marina and take care of your boat inside and out, whether you need a quick rinse after a weekend on the water or a full restoration of a faded hull.

When You Call, the Owner Picks Up

Every call goes straight to Ethan, the owner of EG Marine Services and the mechanic who does the work. There’s no receptionist taking a message and no waiting on a callback from someone who’s never seen your boat.

Tell him what’s going on: the alarm on the display, the noise at idle, the engine that won’t turn over. Ethan knows Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury, and the rest of what runs in South Florida inside and out, so you’ll usually get a straight answer on the first call, whether that’s something you can check yourself or a visit to your dock.

  • Straight answers, not a script
  • Diagnostic questions answered on the phone
  • Honest advice, even when the fix is simple
  • The person you talk to is the one who shows up

Boat Waxing and Oxidation Removal

The South Florida sun breaks down gelcoat faster than almost anywhere else. Once the surface turns chalky, a coat of wax on top won’t fix it. We compound the hull to cut away the oxidized layer, machine polish it back to a gloss, and then wax or seal it so the shine lasts. On a hull that’s already in good shape, a wash and wax every few months keeps it there.

Signs Your Boat Needs Detailing

  • Chalky, faded, or oxidized gelcoat
  • Water spots and salt buildup
  • Yellowing at the waterline
  • Rust spots on stainless
  • Mildew or stains on vinyl and upholstery
  • Growth building up on the hull

Boat Detailing & Cleaning FAQs

What’s the difference between Wash & Dry, Cleaning, and Waxing & Detailing?

Wash & Dry is our affordable routine service: a full exterior wash and hand dry to get salt and grime off. Cleaning goes deeper, inside and out, including the interior, vinyl, stainless, and glass. Waxing & Detailing restores and protects the finish with compounding, polishing, and wax.

Do you come to my boat for detailing?

Yes. Our boat detailing is mobile. We detail boats at marinas, private docks, and waterfront homes across Miami and South Florida.

How much does boat detailing cost?

Boat detailing is usually priced by the foot, and the total depends on the boat’s size, condition, and the services you choose, such as a wash, a full compound and wax, or interior cleaning. Contact us with your boat’s length and we’ll give you a clear quote.

Do you offer boat waxing on its own?

Yes. If the boat is already clean and you just want protection, we can wash and wax it. If the gelcoat is chalky or faded, it needs compounding first, because wax over oxidation won’t bring the shine back or last long.

How often should I have my boat detailed?

In South Florida’s sun and salt, a regular wash every few weeks and a full compound and wax once or twice a year helps keep gelcoat from oxidizing and fading.

Can you restore faded or oxidized gelcoat?

In most cases, yes. Compounding and polishing removes the oxidized layer and brings back the shine, and a wax or sealant then protects the finish.

Do you clean boat bottoms?

Yes. We offer in-water bottom cleaning for boats kept in the water. In warm salt water, monthly bottom cleaning keeps growth under control between bottom paint jobs.

Do you detail yachts?

Yes. We detail center consoles, cruisers, and yachts, inside and out.
