About This Problem
Boats don’t like to sit. Fuel goes stale, injectors clog, impellers take a set, and batteries die. The good news is that many engines that have sat for years can be brought back with the right work.
Boat been sitting and won’t run right? Call Ethan and tell him how long it’s been. He’ll know where to start.

Frequently Asked Questions
I have old gas in my boat. What should I do?
Don’t run it. Gas older than a few months, especially ethanol blends, can gum up injectors and carburetors and absorb water. We pump out stale fuel, dispose of it properly, replace filters, and check the fuel system.
Can old fuel damage my engine?
It can clog injectors and pumps. We drain or treat old fuel before running the engine.
Should I replace the impeller after storage?
Yes, if it’s been a year or more.
How do I store my boat to avoid this?
Keep the tank full with stabilizer, flush the engine, and keep the batteries charged.
